NEW UPDATED MOVIE REPORT!
Billy & Bobby The Whacky Duo
American Moral Films Productions 2008
The Movie!
I am new to producing movies, and quite nervous about this to be honest. American Moral Films Productions movie "Billy and Bobby in The Whacky Dou", has taken a new twist in productions. I have a new writer, and she is simply fantastic, and I have decided to go with a full length feature movie, rather then 3 or 4 separate comedy skits.
I have postponed productions for this fall, due to a few concerns. First of all, the economy, and the movie industry took a 68% drop in sales of movies (going to the shows, rentals, purchasing movies). So I considered that we had to regroup, and come up with a better and more entertaining movie. There have been many people over the years that have seen my TV comedy specials and skits, with my home grown characters, such as "Aunt Janice, Aunt Emma, Bayou Billy and Macho Chuck and several others." I remember the first time I ever did a comedy show on TV, and that was 16 years ago. I was unsure just how the viewers would react. But within a day I soon found out the show was a hit, and hilarious, and I hope over time that my comedic roles have gotten a lot better, but I am sure they have. I have a few of my old comedy skits on this web site, just short clips for the fans to view.
I selected Bill Byrge to be the director of the new production, and with almost 20 years under his belt of comedic experience and talent, and knowing the ropes of directing, as well as working with Jim Varney in most of the Ernest movies, this too will add to hopefully a more successful production. But not only that, I have added on new state of arts movie production equipment, that will render the new "Billy & Bobby, The Wacky Duo" movie in Dolby 5.1 sound, and video in wide screen (letter box), style! I have also been able to precure some top talent music tracks for the movie. With great comedic talent, and excellant cameras and sound crew, the new comedy is sure to be a hit!
A Look At Bill "Bobby" Byrge!
Bill Byrge, well known as Bobby, the quiet co-star of many of the Ernest movies, rarely ever said more then a line or two. Well, for the life of me, after Bill and I met 3 years ago, and did a few TV commercials together, and a special Internet TV Talk show, I was just mesmerized by his wit. Mr. Byrge is a very talented, and a spontaneous person and actor to say the least, and is as sharp as tack when it comes to his lines. I am really excited being able to not only have Bill Byrge in the comedy movie, but being able to act along side of him, and I am very excited. So he is going to have a number of lines to say, and they are sure to make the fans sit up and take notice of his unusual, funny hill billy type voice and wit! Bill is what I call an extreme extravert! I have never met anyone so outgoing and friendly, warm and affectionate as this little 136 pound man. Bill weighed in at 96 pounds at time he was in the Ernest movies, and in the National award winning children's TV show series, "Hey Vern, It's Ernest"! It is almost 20 years later, and Bill has put on weight (40 pounds), although you really can't see it? One last thing, my character (my own original character) Aunt Janice, will be one of the Characters in the movie, and she is supposed to be "Ernest P. Worrells" aunt or great aunt? Aunt Janice is supposed to weigh at least 350 pounds! Oh no! And, Janice is an ex-Army drill sargeant, turned baby sitter in civilian life! Yeah, any child's nightmare of a babysitter, right! Uhuh! Well, I better not tell you any more, or I will give a way a part of the movie. Hmmm? I guess I am going to have to look around for a fat suit, for under Aunt Janices dress, and probably balloons or somethin, for her, Oops, I am not going to say it, you all probably know what I mean any way, Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! or rather, as Ernest would put it, "Heh! Heh! Heh! Heh!
In The Flavor Of An Ernest Movie?
And A Special "limited Edition" of the movie!
I am going to produce the movie in the flavor of the "Ernest Movies". Bobby and I are going to add a special part of reminiscing about Jim Varney's personal life and career, and Jim's original character "Ernest" and his other characters, which I am sure the Ernest fans will appreciate and find extremely interesting. I will be offering a special "full length" LIMITED edition of that special part. This special edition is separate from the movie. And along with that, a color photo of "Billy and Bobby" and signed to those fans that purchase the limited special edition movie from the "Official Jim Varney Tribute and Fan Site". Remember, the personally signed color photo including personal sighning to the fan who purchases the special edition is ONLY for a limited time from the web site! The web site limited edition will also include other extra's NOT available in stores! Make sure to send an e-mail asking to be placed on a special waiting list for the special edition movie, so you can get it! The limited stock from the site will be offered on "first come, first serve" basis, so the sooner those who want to be on the list, and even before the limited edition copies are available, would be a great idea, to make sure you get one, before they are gone! Be watching for further up-dates, and especially about the limited web site DVD edition!

The Co-stars a Team, "Billy & Bobby"
Bill and I hit it off the first time we met. I knew right away when I first laid eyes on him, I loved the little guy right away. I guess the main reason why is because Bill and I are very much the same (extremely outgoing and amusing). I think that if Bill had the choice to choose a comedy film partner, that he couldn't have chosen a better partner then myself for the character role. In the words of Tom Hanks who stared as Forest Gump in the movie said in one of his lines to his girl friend, "we are just like peas and carrots". Yup, I think Bill and I are just like that too, and we know that you the fans, and many other people who will see "Billy and Bobby, The Wacky Duo" are going to agree that we make a good team for the comedy movie production.
A Personal Look At Bill Byrge
Now for a little about Bill and his background from what I know. Bill was a Librarian in Nashville, Tennessee for many years. And it was while working in the library in Nashville one day that Bill met John Cherry, the director of the (at that time), future Ernest movies. Mr. Cherry after seeing and observing Mr. Byrge, confronted him and asked him if he would like to be in movies? Bill was just shocked! Soon after, Bill Byrge became a hit in his home town of Nashville, and made front page headlines, which read, "local man is a promising actor!" Bill just couldn't believe it, that he would ne offered such an opportunity. Mr. Cherry had told Bill that he had the type of face and personality that he had been looking for for his productions. Mr. Byrge started in TV commercials for Mr. Cherry, and from there, Byrge was a co-star in several of the Ernest movies, including the national TV awarded children's show, "Hey Vern, It's Ernest!". Bill also played a role in a few comedy music videos and numerous TV commercials (including a few TV commercials that we did for my independant TV broadast in Southern Wisconsin in 2005. Bill is a bachelor, and has never gotten married. We spoke about that one evening when Bill was visiting me, and I asked him very gently if that had bothered him, and if he would like to get married. Bill told me with a smile on his face that he has been very happy being single all these years, and would have it no other way. He also told me, that because he is an extreme "extravert", and has an abundance of friends, and is always on the go and visiting, he just would not be the "at home type", which he feels would put a strain on a marriage. And besides, Bill is a born again Christian and very dedicated to his church, and takes a very active role in his church, and church activities as well. Now this may strike people as rather odd. Bill has never learned to drive a car, or does he want to ever drive a car. I am not kidding! He loves walking, and does a lot of it, and keeps himself in excellent shape. Bill is 66 years young).
Bill Byrge Never Drove A Car! Oh! Oh!
Bill Byrge (known as Bobby in the Ernest movies) lives in Nashville where everything he needs, and most any place he needs to go is either within walking distance or by a cab or a bus. I have to throw this in. When I was thinking of what kind of comedy skits that I wanted for the movie, I thought right away about Bill not being able to drive a car. And I came up with an idea of doing a skit with trying to teach Bill how to drive! Believe me, I think that skit is going to be incredibly hilarious. With Bill knowing absolutely nothing about driving a car, that couldn't be better for a comedy! When we go to filming that part of the movie this summer, I believe that Bill won't really have to act of how unnerved and timid he'll be behind the wheel (as he actually will be behind the wheel of a car for the first time). Well, it should be funny, but I can tell you this, I am gonna be nervous about doing the skit. Remember, I will be next to Bill instructing him how to drive, while acting, and while trying not to be to nervous or scared! And, the road will be blockaded for the scene shoot, "thank God!" Egad! Well, the car is insured, and I took a little more insurance out on the car and on me ME as well, just in case. Knowwaddamean, Vern? Oh! Oh!
Bobby, The Perfect Choice For The Comedy Team!
When Bill I met in 2005, we just hit it off! But most of all, we were a perfect match for a comedy team. We just seemed to click together! So instead of one of us being the main star, I decided we would both share being co-stars. I want to present Bill and I as a team.
Bobby And I Reflect On Views Of The Terrible Condition Of Today's Movies!
Bill and I have spent a lot of time discussing the condition of most of the movies today, and how very immoral most have become. Even a large number of children's movies, including animated films (cartoons), contain immorality and violence. I have even seen a few children's shows and animations that have very slick ways of getting across to young people, that morality is NOT "cool". It is shocking to see the films that come out of Hollywood that are more often not fit for children or young people and even older adults to watch and fill their minds with. As Bill and I both see it (as well as I know there are millions of other people also that see it, and will agree with us), that Hollywood producers have lost their minds in most of the movies they produce. We think that the Ernest movies was an end of an era of clean, wholesome, and fit for the whole family movies to watch. But not only that, the Ernest movies portrayed a kind, loving and decent Ernest character, and most of the Ernest movies carried a theme of teaching or helping young to care and love.

We truly believe that million of Americans "do" echo those same sentiments. Never once was their any nudity, filthy language, or any immorality ever in any of the "Ernest movies", NEVER! Jim Varney loved children, and he would never be in an Ernest movie that would harm children, or anyone in any way. I was told that Jim was so worried that he and his Ernest movies would be quickly forgotten after he died. This was very big concern for Jim. But as we all know, the old Ernest movies keep going, and the fans and those who love the Ernest movies keep watching the old flicks over and over. Wouldn't you think that that would have sent a very strong message to Hollywood producers, huh? Well, no, it hasn't. It has been roughly 10 to 15 years I think, since the last Ernest movie, and not ONE movie producer has even tried to produce a like Ernest movie! Since Jim passed away, his Ernest character and movies have become a phenomena! Really, they have, and my "official Jim Varney Tribute & Fan Site" has proven that with over 100,000 Jim Varney and Ernest P. Worrell fans, friends and family, and the fans keep coming! One movie distributor here in the U.S. claims his company sold over "100,000" Ernest DVD movies last, 2007!" Wowee, Bob! It has shown the VIP from that company as well as Bill and I, that there MUST be more and new Ernest type of movies to be made, because THE FANS WANT THEM!

The NEW Movie "Billy & BobbyThe Whacky DUO" is NOT An Ernest Movie!
And to make everyone understand this! American Moral Films Productions, (an indepenant film company) of "Billy & Bobby The Whacky DUO", is NOT an Ernest P. Worrell movie. We would have like to do that, but because of all the legalities, and the copyright on the Ernest name, and probably other Ernest character names, we could not make an actual NEW Ernest movie. And even if we could have, there is no one, no actor that could possibly fit the character role of Ernest. But what is more inportant, even if an actor could be found to play Ernest, the fans would never go for it. It is just not the character Ernest that is so inportant, but rather, the actor Jim Varney that is the most inportant part of the Ernest character. And with the millions of Ernest fans, they would never accept a new Ernest because Jim fitted that role of Ernest P. Worrell, like no one else could. And Jim invented his own original characters for the movies. Jim loved children, and he was also a Christian which many believe helped create the characters that Jim created. Jim was probably one of a kind, and very unique in his comedy and character role. That is what made Ernest so famous. Those of you who know the Ernest character, have heard probably a hundred times, "Ernest P. Worrell" the great red neck hope of America!" Ha! Ha!
NEW Movie In The Flavor Of Ernest Movies!
The only way that I can produce this movie, is to make it a "type or kind" of Ernest movie. With having Bill Byrge (Bobby) as my co-star and my being the co-star with him, was the best and only way to give the fans what they want. Bill and I are going to weave into places in the movie reminsing about Ernest. And separate from the movie, will be added part (added attraction), that Bill and I will do together. It should be a very interesting candid discussion about Jim Varney, his Ernest movies and his character, and about the other co-stars in the original Ernest movies, and his life. A heart warming, and candid discussion. There was a so called "Biography" on Jim Varney on one of the cable TV channels, that had me, as well as the Varney family as well as many, many fans in an uproar! The biography painted up Jim Varney's life to look as a mess, and as a deeply disturbed man. The TV biography was a hathet job, and never once reflected upon Jim, the real Jim Varney. Bill Byrge and I are going to try to get across to the fans and other viewers just what Jim Varney was all about, and the nice, kind and loving person that he was. Bill and I hope that our reminising, and our biography of Jim will be well appreciated, by the fans, friends and family of Jim Varney. I have other surprises I will try to include in that special part.
Distribution And Hopes For Movie Success!
I am in negotiations with several national movie distributors. The distributors that I contactedsettled are very excited about Bill Byrge being the co-star, and being back in the movies again. We "Bill Byrge" and myself. The outlook of getting a movie distributor looks very good, and I hope to settle on the best distributor that I can, and will give and promise the new movie maximum effort for distribution. I will keep everyone posted through timely up-dates on the "Official Jim Varney Tribute and Fan Site", as well sending out e-mail up-dates on distribution, and release date. I will be adding either some short video clips from the scenes from the movie, as well as I will be showing several photos next spring! Please, keep the actors, myelf and crew and staff in your thoughts, and in your prayers. I am going to donate a percentage of the sales and any other residuals from the movie to a charity, of helping to feed hungry and starving children, and to clothe them and give medical help. So keep that in mind, when the movie hits the store shelves, that a certain amount of each sale of the movie will go for God's little ones that desperately need help.
Candid Photos And Videos Planned For Behind The Scenes!
I will be posting photos and videos from behind the scenes of the movie (on location). There should be a good assortment of Bill and I, and the other actors and crew. Some of the photos should be down right funny, as my wife is taking the pictures, and I am sure she won't give us any warning when she does it.
From the "Billy and Bobby, The Whacky Duo" cast, director, producer and crew, we all hope you will enjoy our new up-coming movie, and God bless you all!
